Discover the essential tools and materials needed for wet felting, including beautiful dyed merino wool, alpaca, or locally sourced wool from British sheep. All materials are of the highest quality, sourced from trusted suppliers.

In this workshop you will:

Explore various sources of inspiration, from natural landscapes to personal memories or photographs, and learn how to translate them into felted art.

Learn how to create captivating palettes using a diverse selection of wool fibres.

Experiment with techniques for adding texture and detail to your felted masterpiece, whether it's through layering fibres, creating surface embellishments, or incorporating other materials.

Master the art of wet felting as you manipulate and mat wool fibres together using soapy water and a bit of elbow grease to create a flat felted piece.

In the afternoon session, take your felted artwork to the next level by adding extra detail using needle felting and machine embroidery. Hand embroidery can also be added for those who prefer a more tactile approach.

This hands-on workshop will guide you through the entire process of wet felting, from laying out the fibres to adding intricate details. You will receive personalised guidance and support, ensuring that you feel confident and inspired throughout the creative journey.

Materials Provided:
All materials, including wool fibres, needles, embroidery threads, and other necessary supplies, will be provided. Only the finest quality materials are used in this workshop, guaranteeing stunning results for your artwork.

Materials required:

A sewing machine in full work order with the ability to drop the feed dogs and a free motion/darning foot, a basic sewing kit, notebook and pen and your lunch!
